Home of the Mother

On November 13th, a retreat began for the students of the Latin American campus of Ave Maria University situated in the "La Purisima" seminary in Managua, Nicaragua. The retreat ended in the afternoon of Sunday, November 15th.

Father Rafael, Mother Ana, Sister Montse and Sister María Elena stopped by on the 14th before heading off on their trip to Ecuador, where they would visit the communities of Chone and Playa Prieta.

Their arrival was providential, because they were able to take part in the retreat. Fr Rafael gave a talk on the Eucharist, Sr. Maria Elena on the Virgin Mary, Fr Jose Javier on chastity and Fr. Dominic on true friendship.

At the end of the retreat almost all the young people who participated, around fifty students, gave their testimony. Many thanked God for the presence of P. Rafael and that of the Servant Brothers and Sisters. They said they had felt the presence of our Mother through them and that the words of Fr. Rafael had been a great encouragement to leave their mediocrity aside.

The Servant Brothers of Nicaragua want to thank the providence of God who made the dates of Fr. Rafael and the sisters' visit coincide with the dates of the retreat. This was the last retreat of the semester for AMULAC (Ave Maria University Latin American Campus).
