The objective of the Youth Encounters
for boys and girls is to create a simple and fun environment for
them to grow both from the human as well as the spiritual point
of view.
From the human point of view the Servant Sisters, Brothers, and
Priests help the boys and girls form themselves in values that
will help them to be young mature Catholic men and women in today's
society. From the spiritual point of view, they want to ensure
that they understand the significance and necessity of a prayer
life and that they should be striving for holiness every day.
Activities include:
* Games
* Hikes
* Sports
* Crafts
* Swimming (depending on the location)
* Songs in English and Spanish
Daily Mass, Rosary, points of meditation that teach the boys/girls
how to meditate according to the spirituality of St. Teresa of
Avila.
The Home of the Mother has over 20 years experience giving these
encounters in Spain, Ireland, Mexico and in the U.S. |
