Playa Prieta. Sacred Family Education Center
the sacred family education center is a school directed by the servant sisters of the home of the mother during the past 2 years in playa prieta, ecuador. They also direct an academy destined to the technical preparation of the students.
Teachers
monthly teacher's wage: $241.63
we receive on a monthly basis from Assumption parish school, in jacksonville, florida (USA) $500, which covers the monthly wages of 2 teachers and their insurance.
Children's Scholarships:
There are 40 children receiving scholarships in the grade school and 4 in the academy.
The tuition costs are: (monthly)
Kindergarten: $6 = 4.57 €
Elementary: $9 = 6.85 €
Secondary school up to seventh grade: $11 = 8.38 €
Eighth, ninth and tenth grade: $13 = 10 €
University Scholarships:
we are helping a young man in the parish of playa prieta to study dentistry. in order to do so, someone from the united states has promised to give a monthly donation of $50 = 38.04 €
Due to the increase of students we have built two new classrooms.
We have received a donation from Ireland of a video projector for the school. It will help us in the educational work as well as in our apostolic work.
Repairs to the school chapel: We received a donation from the United States for: $570 = 433.49 €
Thanks to last year's donation for the Cutting and Tailoring Workshop, during 6 months, we have been able to pay 10 people a monthly salary of $200 = 151.97 €
