What do you do now? Study or work?
I graduated from Ave Maria University in May 2003, after which I worked
for the university for one year. I am now a Candidate of the Servant
Sisters of the Home of the Mother.
How have you obtained peace?
I think I truly found peace in Christ when I began praying and allowing myself
to hear His voice over those of the world, asking that His will be done in my
life.
Have you ever felt like crying? Why?
Sure. I cry when I look at Christ on the Cross and think about how much
He loves all men and how we are all (myself being the first) so ungrateful
to Him. So
many live their lives complaining to God, or just ignoring Him, and yet we
owe Him so much and His mercy awaits all men.
Do you usually go to God
for help? When?
I have begun to. I have started to see how much I need to depend on
Him and how little I can do of my own strength. I turn most frequently
to Him, I think,
when
I feel like giving up or when I need to look again at His example to know how
to love my neighbor.
When do you feel most that you are lacking patience?
I think that my major weakness in patience comes when God asks that I
love, not just "put up with" all people, even those with
whom I may not connect or who might annoy me.
What attribute (characteristic)
of God impresses you most?
His constant selfless love.
What virtue do you most appreciate? Love.
What defect
in yourself would you like to get rid of first?
My selfishness in loving others.
Do you always say what you think? No,
not always. I think more than I speak.
What do you do to remain standing
up in the midst of the world?
Daily mass and prayer and offering everything to God, the good and
the bad.
Are you afraid of death?
Not of death itself, but of myself at the hour of death...I want to
be ready to go to God when I die.
How would you like to see yourself,
before God, on the day of your death?
I want Him to find nothing in me that is not His own. I want to have
a pure heart full of Him alone.
What do you understand by “having
your hands full?”
Having lived every moment for Him; having loved my neighbor as Christ..."Whatever
you do to the least of your brothers, that you do unto me..."
What is your
favorite prayer?
St. Ignatius of Loyola`s Prayer of Self-Dedication to Jesus Christ
If you
saw Our Lord now, what would you say to Him?
I have nothing more to say than that I love you!
Do you trust in God?
I know that I have to, but it is not always easy for me, as I am definitely
like to have everything under control I know I need to trust Him more fully.
What
does it mean for you to trust in God?
To really leave my future and my worries in His hands, having a holy
indifference. Also, to follow all His inspirations faithfully, even
when I do not understand
or perhaps others do not understand me.
What does it mean for you to live?
To truly live means to be the seed that dies and bears fruit...To do
everything for God; to be aware that we need to be constantly fighting
to be better
people...to live is to be holy and holiness is not always easy; it is a
daily dying to
oneself.
And to die to oneself?
Is to truly live!!! It takes a constant effort, though. It cannot remain
just a nice theory of life which we aspire to, but never quite reach, for
lack of
effort.
Do you consider yourself an optimistic person?
Yes, for the most part. I try to see the humor in difficult or trying
situation.
Does suffering scare you? Do you suffer?
Not when I keep my gaze fixed on Christ. I have suffered in my life for
various reasons, but God has given me strength and hope through it all.
He never
leaves our side, even though it may seem like it to us.
Do you have a motto
for your life?
Yes. It is: "Jesus, I trust in you!"
What do you consider most
necessary in this life?
To show our gratitude to Christ for His gift of Himself by being faithful
apostles of His love at every moment.
Do you consider yourself a person
who takes risks?
No, not usually.
What is the thing that you are most afraid that God could
ask you to do?
If He asks me to commit to something that I do not feel I have the strength
to persevere in or to do something that may be misunderstood by others.
COMPLETE BRIEFLY THESE SENTENCES:
If I could... convince each person of God`s amazing love and endless mercy.
The world would go much better if... every person sought
God's will in his life and those who heard His voice weren`t afraid to
leave worldly
attachments
and
comfort in order to live in holiness.
My greatest desire... is for each person to be able to
see God's love and change his life for God.
I ask forgiveness every time... I have a disagreement with family or friends;
as St. Paul says, "never let the sun set on your anger."
I would only give up... my life for Christ's sake.
