What are you doing now? Are you working or studying?
I am a senior in high school.
How would you define yourself?
I define myself as a young man who defends the Catholic faith and who is starting
to walk a long journey.
What is the attribute you most like about God?
What I admire about God is His mercy towards humanity.
What is the greatest ideal of your life?
To enter the seminary and consecrate my life totally to God, to represent Him
as a priest in His church.
What is a person’s greatest failure in life?
I think the greatest failure is not learning from our mistakes, and not recognizing
the great and merciful God we have.
What has been the most important event in your life?
I really think it was when I discovered my vocation to the priesthood. I was
around six or seven years old.
What do you think generosity means?
For me, it is to share something one has extensively with others.
Do you find it hard to be generous with God?
I think that not only do I find it hard sometimes, but everybody finds it hard
to be generous with God. One should always have God in mind through prayers
and sometimes we are not generous with him when it comes to enriching a good
friendship with the Lord.
Do you seek God’s will?
Every time I talk to God in prayers I tell Him, “My life is your life
Father.” I always pray that I receive guidance from Him so that I follow
His will accordingly.
Do you think that many people in the world seek the will of
God in their lives? Why?
This question varies, because the good people of faith I think do follow God’s
will in their lives. Now, those who let their pride and arrogance take over
are the ones who tend to do what they want rather than what God really wants
for them; these people become deaf to the voice of God. Our mission is to help
these people listen to God.
Do you really feel called to holiness?
Of course, I really think that through my vocation to the priesthood God is
calling me to holiness.
Where do you find strength to stay on the path?
I find strength through many ways, but especially prayer and the use of the
tools we have as Catholics, which are the sacraments (especially reconciliation).
What passage of the Bible do you like the most?
Jeremiah 29:1 “For I know well the plans I have in mind for you, says
the Lord, plans for your welfare, not for woe. Plans to give you a future full
of hope.”
Are you afraid of death?
No, because, God willing, that would be the moment where I will be with total
peacefulness.
How would you like to see yourself, before God, on the day
of your death?
Without a doubt it’ll be a wonderful event for me. By that time, I hope
I have done everything well in life, so that I may humbly tell God, “Mission
accomplished.”
What is the thing that you are most afraid of that God could
ask you to do?
An Exorcism.
Do you trust in God?
Absolutely.
