What are you studying?
I am studying Psychology and Italian.
In a few words, how would you define yourself?
A girl in the process of falling in love with God.
What most attracts you about God?
His Love! It is so gentle yet unfailing. God has a way of meeting us and
loving us right where we are, while gently calling us to receive His love
more deeply.
Do you think about death?
Sometimes I do, but I try not to dwell on it. I rather try to give God
my heart daily in little ways so I will be ready when the time for death
comes.
If you were to find yourself face to face with Jesus, what would you say
to Him?
I think that I would just want to open my heart and soak up His presence.
I don´t think I would have anything to say at first, I would want
to experience His love.
Do you consider yourself cowardly or courageous?
I consider myself struggling to be courageous. There are ways in which
I am both; when I am courageous it is only by the grace of God.
Are you
afraid of anything? If so, of what?
I am afraid of being unloved. I think this is some thing many people
struggle with. Often, we search for love in the wrong places when we
sin.
What defect do you consider to be the worst? Why?
I think that fear may be the worst because it is the opposite of Love.
Perfect love casts out all fear, and God is Love. When we are afraid,
we close ourselves off to Love.
What virtue do you consider to be the
most
necessary? Why?
I think that Love is the most necessary, because we are called to be
like our Heavenly Father, to reflect Him. God is love. If we are the
body of
Christ, our hearts must be open to receiving and giving Love.
What would
you change in the world?
If I could only change one thing, I am not sure what I would change.
Perhaps I would make receiving the Eucharist and praying at Eucharistic
Adoration
more accessible to people because Jesus in the Eucharist is so life-giving
and healing.
Where do you think that life will lead you?
Even if it appears small in the eyes of the world, it will be what makes
my heart happy. I think that if I let God lead me, life will be an adventure
bigger than I can imagine.
Which passage from the Gospel do you like the most?
I think I like the Agony in the Garden, because it reminds me of how
deliberately God loves us.
Do you feel responsible for the salvation of
young people?
Why?
I feel responsible for sharing the faith in the ways that the Lord asks
me. All Christians are called to share their faith and not hide it, yet
I do not feel completely responsible because in the end everyone makes
a choice to love or fear. I feel responsible to live my life in a way
that reflects Love, and to encourage others to choose Love.
What is your mission as a young person?
My mission is to know, love, and serve God in whatever ways He asks.
What
does it mean to be an apostle?
To be an apostle is to be a friend and follower of Christ, and to seek
His face. To be always opening one’s heart to the Lord, inviting
Him in and to share God’s love with others: to follow Christ’s
lead.
Is there a special title for God that you prefer?
I love calling God the Father "Papa". It reminds me of how
intimately He wants to know me, how truly He is my father.
Are the saints
near or far
away?
The saints in Heaven are closer than we think! There are so many of
them, just waiting for us to ask them for help. They have lots of help
to give!
Where
is love found?
Wherever God is. Love is found very powerfully in the Eucharist.
We receive Love every time we receive the Eucharist!
What is the most important lesson you have learned?
The most important lesson that I have learned, and that I am learning
every day, is to love and to be loved.
Who is the Virgin Mary for you?
Mother Mary is a dear friend and my mother. She helps me go to God
when I am too stubborn to do so, and talk directly to him. She also
prepares
my heart to be loved by God. She gives me a lot of help here on Earth,
and wants to be my best friend.
