Lay Members of the Home of the Mother (L.H.M.)The goal of the Lay Members is to reach holiness for the glory of God, under the maternal protection of Mary. This vocation is born within the Church of the service of the Church. The principles by which they are guided spring forth from the mystery of Christ and His Gospel, as the Church believes, interprets and preaches.

Mostoles, Madrid - 2015

I was born into a Catholic family and I am the youngest of 7 siblings. I used to go Mass with my parents and I even made my first Communion, but when I turned 14 I completely turned away from God and went down the wrong path. This lasted quite a few years, during which I did not go anywhere near a Church.

I met Evangelists and spent two years with them. I then had a personal encounter with the Lord. Whenever I spoke with my older brother he would tell me that I was lacking something very important, a MOTHER, the Blessed Virgin, and the Eucharist. Thanks to Our Lady’s grace I came back to the Catholic Church, I got married and had four children. I sorted things out a bit. I would always go to the same Church where my children were baptized and received their First Communion. One day, without a doubt guided by the Virgin Mary, I went into the Parish Church of Our Lady of the Rosary and of Hope. There I met the sisters. It is funny because my daughter also met the Sisters that same week, but separately. We both gave them our e-mail addresses. It was like Our Lady played a joke on us.

I started going to the meetings and to the get togethers. Then I entered the Home of the Mother. In a way it has been my salvation. I felt the love of God. I felt that God loved me through the sisters. They made me feel that very strongly. This changed everything. Everything took on another meaning and was full of hope and strength. I think that it was then that my true conversion began.

I am certain that it was the Blessed Virgin who gave me this gift of entering the Home and of meeting Fr. Rafael, Mother Ana and the sisters. Now I have a spiritual guide and this helps me on the path that is before me. She told me that nothing should stop me from going to Mass. I thank the Lord everyday and I ask Him to allow me to continue being a member of this community that has taught me to be constant in prayer, the importance of the Eucharist which transforms us, and the complete trust in God without losing heart.
