The Home of the Mother was born with a universal heart, since it was born in and for the Catholic Church. This Holy Week, the Home of the Mother hosted its annual Holy Week encounter in the Monastery of the Trinity in Valencia Spain. During the Good Friday Stations of the Cross, those who attended the Holy Week encounter were given the opportunity to collaborate in the cause to support the Holy Places in the Holy Land.

This initiative to support the Christian community in the land of our Lord has been encouraged by popes over the centuries, and has been respected until today. Every Good Friday, the Catholic Church allocates all the donations received that day to the "Collection for the Holy Land," which is sometimes called "Collection for the Holy Places" or "Good Friday Collection."

The Home of the Mother encouraged all attendees to join in supporting our Mother Church, collaborating with donations that would be sent to the Custody of the Holy Land. Big and small joined the cause, resulting in 1,301.57 euros.

There were many who were grateful for our collaboration in this important ecclesial initiative, and as soon as we returned to our communities we made sure that the donations collected reach the Franciscan Custody of the Holy Land.

All of us want to thank the Church for this opportunity to be able to sustain, not only with prayer, but also with our material aid, all the initiatives and projects that help the Christians of that mother community and the support of the Holy Places. May God bless all the consecrated souls and faithful lay Christians who are sustaining the places that remind us of the presence of our Savior here on Earth.

May the Lord bless all His works. Thanks to all those who have collaborated and may Our Mother continue to widen our hearts every day.
