“Come Lord Jesus!” This was the theme for the girls´get-together we had in Lumezzannee in the beginning of December.
After morning mass at 9:30, we went back to the house and we started to play outside to get warm, since it was a little bit chilly out. One of the first things we did was cut out and color the words with our theme to decorate the hall where everyone could see it.
Around 11:00, we had time for cooking. This time we made a cake with nutella and mascarpone cheese and we decorated it with bananas. For some of the girls it was their first time in the kitchen and they loved it.
When we finished cleaning up the kitchen we set the table for lunch. We ate quickly because everyone wanted to have time to play again. After a few outdoor games we went to the chapel for prayer time. There, before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, we wrote a letter asking Him to come to our hearts this Christmas season and we left our letters in His crib. After our time with Jesus, we made an Advent Calender with something to do each day of Advent to help prepare our hearts for His coming and He can be born in our hearts.
We still had energy left after this and we decided to play again. This time we hid different people from the Nativity Scene all througout the house. The girls had to find the people and overcome different obstacles they found in each spot.
After this game the girls were a little tired, and hungry again! We snacked on what we had made in the kitchen in the morning and they ate every last bit.
We hope that Jesus is able to come to the hearts of each and every one of these girls and to the hearts of all those who invite Him in this Christmas.
