We are going to tell you about the two get-togethers that we have had in Alcalá de Guadaíra (Seville). One was on Saturday, October 2nd, and the other was on the 9th. The first get-together was only for girls, and 45 came that day. The six best monitors in the whole wide world also came and we thank them for all their work.
After welcoming the girls as they arrived with their parents, we had a time of singing and getting to know each other better. We greeted Our Lady and had a little time to pray.
It was a beautiful day in which we ran, jumped, laughed, did crafts, played... It was a healthy environment, full of joy and friendship. We also spoke and learned a lot about our guardian angels whose feast's day it was. We all want to come to the next get-together!
The following weekend we had another get-together. This time it was for boys and girls, because we want those who received their First Holy Communion this year to continue in the post-Communion catechism classes. The weather reports all said that there would be really bad weather on Saturday, and they were right. On Saturday the weather was terrible! We found that a tree had fallen, there was a lot of wind, we had some hail, and it just rained and rained. Would anyone come? Yes, despite the fact that some of them were frightened (as could be expected), 14 brave boys and girls came. The sun even came out as the day moved onward. How good is God!
We also had a great time. The main theme was the Mass, and the first Christians and the roman persecution, and our games revolved around that idea. Would you like to see the pictures? Well, go ahead!
