Remembering WYD

On Sunday, October 16th, the Servant Sisters in Rome, along with a group of girls, gave thanks to God while remembering with joy the past World Youth Day in Madrid.

We looked at photos and videos from WYD; we listened to the words of Benedict XVI and became familiar with the message that he wanted to transmit to the young people. And if those jam-packed days during WYD were a time of grace for our souls, it was no less a grace remembering all of it later on, after having had time to let those graces mature and bring forth fruit in our souls.

We are thankful to God for having given us this great Pope, who encouraged us to listen to the Lord´s voice so as to give Him all that He asks of us. As the Pope said to the volunteers when he was about to leave Spain: ¨Christ’s love can only be met with love. That is what the Pope is asking you to do in this farewell: to respond in love to the One who for love gave himself up for us.¨

We also encourage you to remember and reflect on the graces you received and to read in the silence of prayer the Holy Father´s speeches and homilies that he gave during World Youth Day. You can find some videos in our channel on You Tube and our photo albums in Flickr.{jcomments on}
