The Servant Sisters of Valencia have restarted for this year the monthly family get-togethers, here in Torrente as well as in Barcelona.
We went to Barcelona last Sunday, November 11th, with the three girls who live in the university residence of the Home of the Mother ("the resi"). We arrived at Barcelona around 11 a.m. The get-together began at 12, with Mass in the Parish of Saint Agnes. Afterwards we had a short reunion to present ourselves and to share testimonies. We ate all together and later we had two reunions, one for adults and the other for youth. We discussed the topics of the apostolate (with the youth) and of the Year of Faith (with the adults). At the end we prayed the rosary with songs. The children continued with the girls of the resi their own schedule of games and crafts. In total we were about 30 attendees.
In our house in Torrente we have already had two family get-togethers. The Servant Brothers came as well with some adults and children from their parish. The last one was on Saturday, November 17th. In the morning, we saw an amazing pro-life video and we had the celebration of the Mass. After lunch we prayed the rosary walking through the streets of Torrente, followed by a reunion (for the adults) and games (for the girls).
It is a joy to be able to continue doing these family encounters, and we hope that they may help us to become more conscious of our vocation to the Home, and at the same time, that they may help us open our house and our hearts to all those that Our Mother would like to bring to her Home.
