On December 21-22 we did a play, a Living Manger Scene, in the parish of the Immaculate, after almost a month of practices.
The Parish of the Immaculate is one of the three parishes with which the sisters in Alcalá de Guadaíra, Sevilla (Spain) collaborate.
About 45 children from the catechism classes participated, the majority were from the First Communion classes. There were two showings each day, at 5 and 6 p.m.
Through this play the children were able to see the true meaning of Christmas and learn how the Birth of our Lord came about, while also having a good time.
At the end of each showing, all the children went up to sing a Christmas song. Many people came to watch them in addition to the actors´ families. We took advantage of this occasion so that not only the children, but also the adults could remember what really happened on Christmas and give thanks to God for this. All the children and their parents left very happy.
