Preparation for a pilgrimage to Fatima, of the girls of the HMY of Macael (Almería), Spain.
The girls of the Home of the Mother of Macael are working intensely to fundraise for the pilgrimage to Fatima that we hope to have on All Saints' Day weekend. The girls have been coming for several days to the Collado house, where the Sisters live, to make all kinds of things, like brooches, key chains, bracelets, etc., in order to sell them outside the church to raise money to be able to pay for the expenses of the pilgrimage, with a sign that says: "We want to go to Fatima. Will you help us?". The greatest success of the sale were the "american cookies" that were taken straight from their hands and that the girls offered to taste. There was a very good and joyful environment. The people were enthusiastic with the pilgrimage and were very generous.
We also raffled off of a delicious candy cake that the girls themselves excitedly made.
On September 22nd, after putting up the stand outside the church for the first time, we had a barbecue in the picnic area of Fines to celebrate the anniversary of the Servant Sisters and the success of the first sale. After lunch we had games, songs, dances and a time to talk and reflect.
To allow the whole town of Macael to participate in our pilgrimage to Fatima, we placed a box in the church so that anyone who wants to can write their intentions to Our Lady, and the girls will bring them to Fatima to present them to Our Mother, the Blessed Virgin.
We give thanks to God and to Our Blessed Mother for all the fruits that they want to pour out on us during this pilgrimage.
