All Saints' Day celebration in Lumezzane, Brescia (Italy), November 1st, 2013.
On November 1st, in Lumezzane, Brescia (Italy), we had a get-together for girls, in honor of our best friends, the saints.
We began the day with Mass at 9:30 in our parish of Saint Appolinus and afterwards we all went to the Don Rovetta Center, which is right across the street from the parish, where the sisters live. There we began our get-together with songs with hand-motions and games. Since Our Blessed Mother gave us a splendid sunny day, we took advantage to go outside to play as well.
Afterwards we went up to the sisters' chapel for our time with Jesus. We had a time of eucharistic adoration and Sister Isabel spoke to us about baby Jesus, Jesus on the Cross and Jesus in the Eucharist, and how all that He has done for us is for love and to bring us to Heaven, so that we may be saints ourselves as well.
After prayer we shared the lunch that everyone had brought. Lunch was followed by a very beautiful craft: a stained-glass window of a saint to hang in the window!
When we had finished the craft, there was a game called: "Out in the open: our protector saint", in which each team had to search for clues to discover its protector saint. There were 4 teams and the 4 saints were St. Therese of the Child Jesus, St. Maria Goretti, Blessed Jacinta Marto and Anne de Guigné.
It was an unforgettable day of prayer and fun with our friends the saints and we hope to be like them as well. Thanks to all, especially our monitors, who made us play and laugh alot!
