Get-together for girls in Lumezzanne, (Italy), on 18 January 2015.
Every month here, in the enchanting peninsula of Italy, more specifically in the north, in a village in the foothills of the Alps called Lumezzane, there is a Sunday when we have gatherings for elementary school girls all day!
On January 18 we had a get-together with a very important and very Holy figure: Saint Paul. In the morning, after mass, we went to the Don Rovetta Center to sing and participate in games that kept us moving to help us get rid of feeling cold. Then we ate all together, each sharing a little of what they had brought.
After lunch, we did a fun workshop: a butterfly holding a phrase from our Saint Paul. When we finished we moved up to the large living room to find out what was the mysterious game that the sisters, together with the older girls, had prepared for us, which included tests that helped us to better understand the life of St. Paul.
After the game, we prepared ourselves to go to the Chapel, where our best friend, Jesus, was awaiting for us. The sister explained to us how St. Paul converted to Jesus and never left Him because of his love for Him. Then we prayed a decade of the Rosary to Our Mother. When we got out of the Chapel, we divided into groups to do two workshops: kitchen (Nutella cookies... hmmm!) and theater (each group prepared a scene from the life of St. Paul). Later we had a snack, at which time we could try and approve! the delicious cookies we had made.
After lunch, we washed ourselves since we were covered with chocolate and prepared for our show on Broadway, Lumezzane: The Life of St. Paul. It was received with much enthusiasm by our audience and the performers were available to sign autographs at the end of the presentation. Thanks to all, to the ones in Heaven and the ones here on Earth for helping us make this day so unforgettable and of so much spiritual enrichment.
