Saying it as it is

convis mostolesGet together of the laity in Móstoles (Madrid), January 17, 2015.

On January 17, 2015, the lay members of the Home of the Mother of Madrid and Móstoles gathered for our monthly get together in the parish of Our Lady of the Rosary and Hope (Móstoles). We spent the morning with prayer, with the celebration of the Eucharist and reconciliation with God in the sacrament of confession. We all ate sharing what each one had brought as good brothers do, with long dinner conversations, which we love in the Home, with time to talk to grow in friendship, to enrich each other with good conversation. After eating we saw a video that the sisters had prepared about the illness and cure of Mother Ana. Before we finished watching it, we had to stop to go to the talk, because the speaker of the day, Don José María Contreras, had arrived.

José María Contreras defines himself, professionally, as a 'Consultant in the training of managers and human resources, an expert in self-motivation' (http://www.jmcontreras.es), but above all he is a man of faith, very concerned with the problems of the family in today's society. His talk touched on very important points for the good development of relations within the family and, especially, between the spouses. He spoke of the psychology of man and woman, pointed out the details that you must take care of as to not wear down the relationship, he explained the impact of premarital relationships in the future of the couple, the cancer that is the consumption of pornography - especially, but not exclusively - by the man...

convis mostoles2 the whole talk was well grounded in Christian anthropology, common sense and “calling things by their name” (calling a spade a spade), with simple language, expressive and without sophistications: direct to the reason and to the heart. We were very grateful to him for having shared the fruits of his studies and reflections with us, because they were really very useful for all. Once we said goodbye to Jose María, we finished watching the video that we had begun, and we reflected on the testimony that we had received and the value of suffering and illness. And with charged batteries we went back home, thanking the Lord for the Home and for the brothers and sisters He has given us to share in this journey to Heaven. We hope to see you in the next gathering! If you want more information, write to this address: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
