Celebration of the Solemnity of Blessed Mary, Ever Virgin, July 1st and 2nd of 2015 in Alcalá de Henares, Madrid (Spain).
Once more Our Mother has been present among us letting us experience her motherly love.
As in the previous year, and for the second time, the Home of the Mother has celebrated the Solemnity of the Blessed Mary Ever Virgin on July 2nd.
On July 1, we began with the Holy Mass, presided by Fr. Rafael, founder of the Home of the Mother and con-celebrated by the Servant Priests of the Home. Fr. Peter and Fr. Rene also had the joy of premiering their priesthood; it had been three days since being ordained. Also serving on the altar were three new deacons.
In his homily, Fr. Rafael started with the question: “What has the Lord brought us here for?“ ,and he himself answered by stating how God had made use of many circumstances, persons, events, etc. to bring us there, but ultimately, the fundamental reason was to bring us closer to Him.
We then held a prayer vigil in honor of the Blessed Virgin, which was led by Fr. Felix Lopez, S. H. M., in which he touched on the perpetual virginity of the Blessed Virgin Mary before childbirth, during childbirth and after childbirth.
This day ended with our hearts full of joy for this celebration and very grateful for the great gift that the Lord has given us by giving us His mother and having entrusted us with the second mission of the defense of the honor of our Mother, especially in the privilege of Her virginity.
On July 2 we woke up still savoring the sweetness of the most pure heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The day started with a Holy hour with the Blessed Sacrament exposed. The Holy Mass was presided by the bishop of Alcalá de Henares, Juan Antonio Reig Pla. During the mass, we also celebrated the profession of temporary vows of the Servant Brothers and the Servant Sisters of the Home of the Mother.
The Bishop, as a beloved father, explained in his homily, word for word, what it means to be Servants of the Home of the Mother. He spoke of what it means to fulfill the will of God and how everything depends on the Lord, because without Him we can do nothing. We felt our hearts grow bigger as we listened to his inspired words and we gave many thanks that the bishop could participate in this celebration so very loved by us.
The hours passed with great intensity and the Virgin Mary left in the heart of each one of us her maternal presence.
