Benefit Concert for the MGHM

conciertoBenefit Concert organized to help the Missionary Groups of the Home of the Mother, in the parish of our Lady of Sorrows in Valencia, on November 21, 2015.

The Missionary Groups of the Home of the Mother (MGHM) is a civil and non-profit association set up in Spain, whose purpose is to channel human and financial support for projects of development and education of the poorest people of the world, which is currently directed to Ecuador.

On November 21, a benefit concert was organized to raise funds for this association. The event began with the celebration of the Holy Mass at 20:00 hours in the parish of our Lady of Sorrows in Valencia. Then, right before the concert, a brief video presentation of the MGHM was shown, and two Servant Sisters of the Home of the Mother who have lived as a missionaries in Ecuador, gave their testimony.

Musical groups who took part in the concert were "On His Footsteps" and "Emmaus Choir", who selflessly collaborated with this project playing several songs, some of which were of their own composition.

The Servant Sisters of the Home of the Mother, together with some lay members, had made some delicious chocolate chip cookies and also other varieties of cookies to sell during the concert. Also Christmas (?), books, and comics of Saints were sold... to help with another project of evangelization, in this case the HM magazine.

People turned up with great generosity and collaborated by paying the entrance fee, with the purchase of cookies and other items and, above all - because we know that they surely did and continue to do so, with their prayers and offerings.

Thanks to all of you, the Missionary Groups of the Home of the Mother can now count on your contribution to continue helping so many children and families who are very poor.
