aprobacionThe celebration of the first anniversary of the definitive approval of the Home of the Mother as a Public International Association of Faithful, July 11th, 2017.

July 11th is a very important day for the Home of the Mother of all Humanity, Mother of the Youth. Last year, on that date, we received the definitive approval of the Home of the Mother as a Public International Association of the Faithful by the Pontifical Council for the Laity. The statutes of the Home of the Mother were approved Ad Experimentum during a period of five years on June 3rd, 2010. Having finished this time of being studied by the Church, the Pontifical Council for the Laity, with the date of July 11th, 2016, feast day of Saint Benedict, patron saint of Europe, confirmed the canonical erection of the Home of the Mother as a Public International Association of Faithful, and it has admitted the definitive approval of its Statutes. Certainly, and rightfully so, we can exclaim, “The Lord has done great things for us and we are filled with joy!” (Psalm 125).

The recognition or approval of an institution by the Church is a very big step. The Church assures that this charism comes from God and that the way of life which is approved for the members in their Statutes is a sure way for them to reach holiness.

It's true that the documents don't create the lifestyle, but rather they recognize that which the Holy Spirit has brought about in his Church. It's our responsibility that this fire which God has lit doesn't die out. We have three beautiful missions in the Church: the defense of the Eucharist, the defense of the honor of Our Mother, especially in the privilege of her Virginity, and the conquest of the youth for Jesus Christ.

The Church is a mystery of holiness and of the divine life that God has deemed worthy to share with mankind. God wants this divine life to reach its fullness in many members of the Home of the Mother. We aren't important for what we do, for our service to the Church or our brothers and sisters. We are important for what we are: children of God, coheirs with Christ, called to be holy and blameless before Him out of love. If the Home of the Mother doesn’t bring about fruits of holiness in its members, it’s because we are betraying our call and who we are. The celebration of this anniversary reminds us of this essential vocation to be what we should be, according to God’s will, in order to set the whole world on fire.

May the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God and Our Mother, Mother of all the saints, intercede for us so that the Home of the Mother might begin to give fruits of holiness in the Church. We give thanks to God for this approval by the Church and we ask that we might be faithful to the call we’ve received to be a part of this great gift.
