On September 8th, Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Mother (her birthday), the Servant Brothers and Sisters will make their perpetual vows, a complete oblation of their lives to the Lord by making their vows of poverty, chastity and obedience until the end of their lives. The Servant Brothers and Sisters also make a fourth vow to protect the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist in and if necessary, with their lives, and to protect the maternal virginity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, with a firm and stable commitment to work so that the youth find in Mary and in the Eucharist the ideal of their Christian lives.
Ten Servant Sisters and two Servant Brothers will be making their vows and they ask for your prayers so that they will give themselves to the Lord with complete generosity, with all that they are and have. It is a great joy for the whole Church that there are generous souls who are willing to give their lives to Christ, leaving everything to follow Him. One of the sisters once said, “I don’t leave everything for nothing. In reality, I am leaving nothing for Everything.”
The Perpetual vows ceremony will be streamed live through the HM Webcam at 12:00PM Eastern time and 11:00AM Central time. We will have English translation available, follow the directions for English translation at the bottom of the page.
