On Sunday, November 26, 2017, the Servant Sisters of the Home of the Mother in Valencia went to Barcelona to have the first get-together of the new school year with families.
We all met up in the parish of Saint Agnes, where we began our encounter with Mass at 12:00pm. After Mass, we went to one of the parish’s rooms and talked for a while and got to know each other because there were many new faces.
We then went on to have a pot-luck lunch in another room. After Lunch we went to the chapel that is on the church grounds to pray the Rosary. We had invited Rosa Pich to give her testimony to those of us at the get-together. She is the mother of eighteen children, three of whom have already passed away, and eight months ago she also lost her husband, who died of cancer.
Rosa arrived shortly before the Rosary began. When we finished, she shared her life experience with us. It was interesting and helped us all understand from the faith the situations of suffering in our lives. Her testimony was very enriching and it ended off our get-together.
We give thanks to the Lord and Our Lady for the graces that they granted us that day, and for Rosa’s testimony, which has been a great gift for us.
