On Saturday, December 30, we had a get together with some girls from Lumezzane.
The get-together began at 10:30 with some games. Afterwards, we visited the Chapel where the Blessed Sacrament was exposed. We had a time of prayer with songs and we reflected on the fact that we can change the world by changing ourselves. The children of Fatima serve us as examples. They made sacrifices, but how about us? What can we do? We ended by giving a kiss to the Child Jesus.
As we were still in the Christmas season, we showed the movie “A Christmas Carol”, so that we could see what happens when you have a heart full of yourself and do not know how to see the needs of others. From the movie we learned that God gives us the opportunity to change, which we have to welcome.
After the movie we went to eat, we were so hungry! After recharging our batteries with our sandwiches, we did a cooking workshop. We enjoyed putting our hands in the dough to form the Sugar Cookies. While they were cooking we took advantage of the time to have a small meeting about our impressions of the film, sharing what we have learned from it. We learned above all that we have to be generous and charitable with others and to come out of ourselves.
The end of our get-together was already coming, but there was still time to do a craft. We made a 'Photo Album' of the Virgin Mary. It consisted in a small book with drawings of different apparitions of the Virgin Mary, through which we have learned that the she is the Mother of God, but she also Our Mother.
And our get-together ended with the desire to be better, trusting in Our Mother.
