On January 27, the Servant Brothers of the Home of the Mother helped the Servant Sisters during a get-together for families in Alcala de Guadaira. We were in charge of about thirty boys during the encounter. It was a day full of fun and of God.
We began entrusting our day to the Virgin of the Aguila, the city’s patroness. Later, we had a scavenger hunt, in which the boys had a great time. It was a close game and was made up of races, tic-tac-toe using balls, human pyramids, sword fights, soccer, and much more. We were hungry after the game and ate lunch on a balcony, while telling each other corny jokes. The boys made bets to see who told the worst joke. We also sang a lot of songs in a good atmosphere.
Later we had a group discussion with Br. Pablo and Br. Luis, who showed the boys a Catholic Stuff video. The boys loved it. To make our day even better, we had a moment of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. If we do not put the boys in contact with God our apostolate is not good.
At the end we distributed pictures of Sr. Clare, Catholic Stuff cards, and a lot of candy. The boys were very happy and thankful for everything. They and their parents are waiting for the next get-together, God willing.
Blessed be God and Our Blessed Mother for pouring out so many graces through this encounter.
