On Saturday, October 13, the Servant Sisters of the Home of the Mother held the first get-together for boys and girls of the school year at the Royal Monastery of the Holy Trinity in Valencia. Around 11:30 a.m., boys and girls began to arrive. We played games until everyone was present, and then went to the church to listen to a sister give a few ideas about holiness to help us pray. There was a moment of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament to ask the Lord to help us be better persons. We also entrusted ourselves to the Virgin Mary and sang Her some songs.
When we finished, we moved on to the craft. It consisted in making slime. The craft was very fun and the kids liked it a lot. Later, there was time for sports and a game that contained several challenges, accompanied by music. Afterward we had lunch. It was a time to share and get to know each other better.
After lunch there was a kitchen workshop. We made Oreo cookie lollipops—the kids had a great time! When this activity was over, we had a group discussion about humility based on the life of Anne de Guigné. At 4:30 p.m. we ended our get-together.
