Our School in Playa Prieta Ecuador

Information about our school in Playa Prieta (Ecuador), December 2018.

Our school year ends mid-January 2019. We can affirm that our children and teachers have received a lot this year. They are going to finish the academic term with joy and gratitude in their hearts. They are aware that what Holy Family offers is much more than what other schools can give. While it is a simple structure, nothing is lacking. Our teachers truly love their institution.

We Servant Sisters feel privileged to be here and see how God reaches out to everyone with love. But the world is a battlefield and with our lives, we want to cry out to everyone that God exists and that He loves us. We can see this day by day: our students and teachers feel loved by Our Lord and filled with Him without Whom nothing makes sense. This effort is not easy. The world tries to confuse us and impede clear sight. Like everyone else, our children are bombarded by idols that try to substitute God. Pray for us and for our children and teachers so that we may be filled with God in order to give Him to others with so much strength that they will not be able to resist.

We continue to receive scholarships through GMHM for our students. Without these scholarships, our students would have to go to state schools, and the education level at the state schools is very low. Additionally, in state schools, many children at an early age are corrupted morally and spiritually through alcoholism, drug addictions, promiscuity, etc.

Our students are very happy. They learn a bit of everything, but above all, they learn how much God loves them. This makes them smile even in the midst of the many hardships they experience.

The children that have scholarships are very thankful for your help. The monthly donation is a huge help. In their name, we thank you!

Currently, nine students who graduated at Holy Family Educational Center are receiving scholarships for their university studies. Two young women studying nursing in Guayaquil are also receiving scholarships.

We also have the moral obligation to pray for all of our benefactors, their families and needs—and we do so willingly—so that God may be the center of your lives. We also pray so that you may do the works of charity He asks of you. The Lord will judge us on how we have loved! We must make sure to keep in mind that we owe our first and greatest love to Him.
