On Friday, May 4, the documentary of Sr. Clare was shown for the first time in Valencia in the Convent of the Most Holy Trinity.
The Servant Sisters of the Home of the Mother in Valencia prepared for the screening the week beforehand by going to different parishes and putting up posters. It was hard for us to decide in which part of the monastery we were going to project the movie because we did not know how many people were planning on coming. Finally, we decided to use the dining hall because it is the largest area and we thought that about 100 people would be able to fit there.
The screening started at 8:00PM but the sisters opened the doors at 7:15PM. There were already people waiting to enter and from that moment on, people started to stream in. The dining hall filled up immediately. We had to start bringing more chairs because there were more people than we had thought. Among the people who came, there were some who personally knew Sr. Clare from the year that she spent in the community in Valencia, 2010-2011.
When the documentary was finished, the crowd couldn’t stop applauding. Many people came to thank us for the documentary and for the impact that Sr. Clare’s life had on them.
On Saturday, May 5, we went to the Convent of the Poor Clare’s in the center of Valencia to show the documentary to the community and a few people that the Poor Clare’s had invited. They were all very impressed by Sr. Clare’s testimony and by everything that the Lord had done in this Sister’s life.
We give thanks to the Lord for all the good that the testimony of our dear Sr. Clare is doing.
